CHEERS FRIENDS!

Here’s a synopsis for THE GOLDEN GRIP, book one of THE CHILD ENTHRONED trilogy:
Something sinister is happening at the Tate museum in London. Boys are being snatched into the charmed world of The Child Enthroned painting. Thirteen-year-old Dylan Sloane is next to disappear when he discovers a mysterious golden teardrop concealed in the Pre-Raphaelite masterpiece. Madcap Professor Gideon Spurne tells Dylan the teardrop is a legendary Helios, nothing less than a solar vehicle to the sun.
Despite Spurne’s warnings that The Child Enthroned is dangerous, Dylan surrenders to the painting’s hints of adventure and finds himself entwined in a common destiny alongside Nessa Icon, the real child enthroned. Guarding the Sun god’s secrets with their lives, Nessa and Dylan discover what is at stake in their tumultuous world is greater than their own personal struggles.
As the new friends quest across foreign lands to magical cities, they grapple with every villain who attempts to steal the Helios: meddlesome wolf alchemists, a usurping golem, the Black Beast (the sentient fabric of space and time), a female pirate on risky business, and Nessa’s father, Maximus Icon, consumed by a deadly ambition. Icon will stop at nothing to possess the soul of the one boy who is the sun god’s heir and immortalize himself as the new prince of light.
Little does Dylan know, he is that boy. And the electric body cages are ready to take another life.
Fans of Philip Pullman’s “His Dark Materials” trilogy will enjoy THE GOLDEN GRIP.
